About Me

I grew up in a small country town on a farm where I spent a lot of time outdoors. This engendered a deep appreciation for the natural world and led me to settle deep in the forested mountains of western Canada.

I have had an interest in health and wellness since I was an adolescent. During my teenage years I would ask my doctor questions in regards to my health and felt unsatisfied with the answers. I spent years informing myself about alternative health but it wasn’t until I moved to Nelson, BC and discovered the Chinese medicine school that I found a form of medicine that fit with my own ideas about health and wellness.

Chinese medicine has been developed over the course of thousands of years through observation of the natural world, human beings and the interaction between the two. This medicine looks at the big picture of a persons health and well-being and views all of the symptoms and nuances of the body as being part of a larger pattern of disharmony. We therefore treat symptoms as part of a larger imbalance in the body rather than isolating single symptoms for treatment.

My passion in this field continues to grow with ongoing learning. It is my desire to share my skills and tools with others to assist them in their journey of healing and longevity.
